Mason was an old wild cat, but robust and handsome, who somehow managed to survive a hard and hard life in the central streets. The old man had no shortage of battle scars to prove it. When he was taken to the animal shelter, he had an injured leg, several teeth with abscesses and an advanced kidney disease.
Patching your leg and facing rotten teeth was easy. But even for a survivor like Mason, kidney disease would be an impossible challenge.
Having lived such a harsh and hard life for so many years, Mason had a terrible attitude. Perhaps it had been necessary for his survival. The shelter staff discovered that any attempt to caress it instantly caused blows and whistles.
Almost all wild cats that arrive in animal shelters end up being asleep alone because they are essentially wild animals and can rarely become pets. Given Mason's advanced age, his incurable kidney disease and wild nature, he would have seemed to have had three major attacks against him.
Fortunately, the adoptive parents chose to adopt Mason, believing that the old warrior deserved to spend his last months in a comfortable and loving environment. To everyone's surprise, it has adapted well enough to live in a home. He has not yet tolerated being petted, but he was happy to be alive: as you will see in the video published below, he and one of his new parents could have a lot of fun playing with a cat toy.
But then something unexpected happened when Mason's adoptive parents brought home a couple of kittens. No one knew how he would react to the newcomers. But don't worry. It turned out that the old tough Mason had a tender side! Frankly she became a mother, affectionately with the kittens, bringing smiles to everyone.
