‘Super Mom’ Heading South… With 76 Ducklings Following Behind Her

76 children and a mother? It looks like a world record. This amazing mother duck has 76 ducklings behind her. The quiet Bemidji Lake in northern Minnesota is where photographer Brenk Cizek was surprised to see this fascinating spectacle. A mother duck with dozens and dozens of children. Cizek tells us: “I noticed a mother bird with a ton of children. Once I approached, I noticed that she was a Merganser [a type of duck] and I was simply surprised at how many children I had with her. " This type of large feather family is not a common sight anywhere. Mergansers babies will print their mothers when they are born. Fortunately, all of the mother's Mergansers are similar, so if they separate from their mother, it is good that they continue with another mother; They are all a big happy family.
